The REAL reason for that website is to be able to access proof of enlistment when you are trying to use your SSRA benefits, such as suspending cell phone service or lowiering interest rates!

If we Google SSCRA or SSRAor SCRA, the protections of active duty servicemembers under the act are explained. The businesses and individuals affected have to have some method to verify that the claims...

Elise - I would hope that anyone born in 1899 or before would no longer be active duty! And yep - my son is still in and I was able to "check" my nephew without plugging in all the information.
